Since its inaugural evening, we made our way back to Undiscovered SF for a second time. Undiscovered SF is a monthly creative night market that was “designed to jump-start economic activity and public awareness” SOMA Pilipinas. For those unfamiliar with SOMA, it is the “South of Market” district in San Francisco that was recently dubbed as an official Filipino Cultural Heritage District.
I was in the Philippines when Empire in the Air vended at Undiscovered, therefore, I had no idea what to expect. I heard about the crowds and the seemingly endless count of vendors but nothing prepared me for the amount of energy would be in one roof. To give you an idea of what I’m talking about, here’s their recap video from the first night market.
We pulled out our copper pop-up shop for the night. Hi Ray@Empire! Like I said, the number of vendors seemed endless. We made sure to bring our pop-up setup to stand out.
I think it worked! Maraming salamat to the San Francisco community for supporting us!
One favorite moment of mine was chatting it up with this supporter of ours. She told me about how she has the Do Good tee and we got in an extensive conversation about the characters on the tee. We even went into detail about what’s great about Toph and Katara in Avatar is that they portray there are different types of strong women. Great chatting with you!
Can we all appreciate this cutie’s excitement to get a sticker? Future designer over here! — She already has an eye for graphic placement.
Another highlight would be when we got to meet one of our supporters that we featured in our magazine! What what!
Overall, it was a wonderful evening in which we got to engage with new and old supporters. Thank you Undiscovered SF for having us! We hella hyped to come back.
