Last week Nike San Francisco celebrated Pride Week with its annual Be True Run. The Be True campaign is inspired by the LGBTQ community and belief in diversity moving the world forward. What better way to show our support by putting our colorful feet forward and running hilly SF?
Athletes gathered at 6:34PM on the dot, and the first 60 were able to receive a free pair of rainbow cushioned crew socks to light up the streets during the run.
We warmed up in an alley behind the store, then ran through Chinatown, up broadway and took a group photo in front of the Civic Center.
And there were a lot of us.
It was so great seeing all our NRC regulars as well as familiar faces from Concrete Runners, MIPSF, and We Run SF. I miss this family.
…and I might of forgotten that there was a magical rainbow of cupcakes waiting for us back at the store afterwards 😉 Run was totally worth it.
Until our next finish line,
