Hey everyone, this is Sam@Empire taking over the blog this week! As you may know, the Olympic Trials have been going on and I’ve been blessed to have made it out to catch the second half of the events!
Check out the haul:
After a quick power nap, we made our way to Hayward field hit up a Nike Run Club event.
When Nike first started, Co-founder Phil Knight used to sell the first shoes out of his car. He actually just announced his retirement last Friday! Best. Pop up. Shop. Ever!
7:04 Time for NRC!
As we entered the dome there was a display of shoes looking into the past, present, and future of race shoes through the Olympics. The Nike journey was pretty breathtaking. All the art work was inspired by the technology in the shoes.
The trial run dome featured about 15 self treadmills and we virtually raced against Evan Jagar for 1 min in Lunar Epics mid or lows. Jr got 2nd place!
Back at it again tomorrow, can’t wait to witness greatness at the oval office!
