As Empire grew, it became more of a collective than just a brand.
Whether it be an exuberant personality, a knack for event planning, an eye for that perfect shot– each person on the team has qualities that make Empire in the Air what it is today.
My best friend and one of our models, Celestine, once said that we’re also a group that’s good to be weird with.
She’s right. We’re pretty weird.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Working on Empire in the Air may drive me bananas sometimes with our constant deadlines but at least I get to do what I love and have fun while I’m at it.
Besides, when it comes to the nitty gritty, they’re always on the work grind too.
Not all great minds think alike. But! When great minds work together, the results are even greater than one could have conceived alone.
Ann, Sam, and I began meeting with each other a month ago to plan our FAMESS2015 pop-up shop. After a couple hours of roti buns and boba, Ann came up with the interactive community board, Sam used resources to create our product display, and I made the detailed touches for both.
The pop-up shop was purely the product of collaboration.
We have one more big event for the summer and I am excited to see what more weird teamwork can accomplish! Will you join us?
P.s. The next event is our third annual charity kickball tournament, Can You Kick it? for Project PEARLS. Click here for more information: Can You Kick It?
