I need to figure out how to balance being busy and blogging busyness because, the truth is, this past week consisted of a whole lot of busy Empire fun that I didn’t get to share with you guys yet!
Starting with last Saturday’s KFJC record swap at San Jose’s beloved art hub Empire Seven Studios.
Aside from the Record Swap crate-digging galore were other local vendors, including us! Our sales included Christopher, me, Jelyn, Ann…
We also had a couple of homies visiting (nice seeing you Stephanie, Aaron, and Nea!) including Ray aka Christopher’s photography padawan
who brought us a dozen of red moon bean ice cream fishies! Mm…
The day after brought us to Crest Theatre in Sacramento.
Our friend JP Neang is a living and breathing testament of how creativity fosters spiritual wellness.
I’m so happy to say that someone captured her beautiful spirit and story in a short film called Paper Garden and that Christopher and I had the opportunity to watch it on the big screen.
I wish I could show you the film itself but here’s the trailer
Congratulations, Erick Lee and JP Neang!
I returned to San Jose on Wednesday for an errand day with Sam and Jelyn (aka an excuse to hang out with them!)
One of our errands included stopping by the ol’ college campus to meet with Vanessa of Aumakua Treasures. She turned our logos into hella legit stamps!… just in time for the She is King packaging!
You’ll see a lot more of her work in our upcoming collection– stay tuned, my friends!
I spent the entire day Thursday working on our lookbook. Since I can’t show anything from the lookbook yet, I’ll share with you what my Thurday night looked like
TWO MORE DAYS UNTIL OUR SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION! YES, I’M USING CAPS LOCK BECAUSE I AM YELLING!
Back to more Empire business!
