Let Me Draw You

“Explore the whole island,” many advised us for our week in Oahu.

I’m happy we listened.

Yesterday morning, Christopher and I headed out to Waimea Valley in North Shore to be greeted by nature’s emerald lush.

Waimea Valley is not only a historical place for Hawaii but also a spiritual one; it was once ruled by generations of Ali’i Nui  (kings), Ali’i (Chiefs), and Kahuna Nui (High Priests).

The way the plants coexisted and entangled themselves with one another, their vibrant colors, their vivacious forms– walking down the path felt unreal.

Thank you, Waimea Valley. Your spirit revived my creative spirit. Let me draw you.
