Saint Augustine Youth Group and Young Adult Ministry put their gifts and planning skills together to create one priceless night. To fundraise for an upcoming high school and young adult retreat, they showcased a variety of entertainment at Pa’ina Lounge in San Francisco. Pa’ina provided the perfect atmosphere– cool blue scenery, scrumptious food and drink selection, and a welcoming staff. Both the ministry team and the Pa’ina staff set up the venue so all the guests could easily mingle, relax, and vibe with the singers, rappers, instrumentalists, and more.
Empire was invited to vendor and I feel incredibly blessed that we did. Considering I’m in San Jose and I’m no longer involved with the group, I’m happy to be part of the night in some way. As if being back in the hometown with home-home friends couldn’t get any better, my support system in SJ came along for the ride too: Samantha, Christopher, Joey, Ann, and Jelyn.
Although we could not engage much with the performances because of our table placement, we definitely had the opportunity to reach out to others enjoying the evening.
And rekindled with old ones
Along with selling the usual goods, we also decided to fundraise for the retreat in our own way. I made custom stickers per request for $1 and every $1 went to the retreat. We received very… unique… requests haha. People requested a hippogriff, a dragon, a bunny, a giraffe, an elephant, and even a 49ers miner!
Fantastic job Saint Augustine Youth Group and Young Adults and thank you Pa’ina for hosting!
So much good vibes and amazing people in one night! Man. Let’s do it again. Next year? haha
P.s. I miss you guys already!
